Aurora is a licensed massage therapist, with over a thousand hours of training awarded as a diploma from Medicine Hat College in 2002. She has also been practicing Reiki energy healing since 1997, and received her Master’s in Reiki in 2000. She then went on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Calgary (with distinction), and has been a Registered Nurse since 2007. Other interests include aromatherapy, reflexology, crystal healing and many other alternative therapies. She has bountiful experience in geriatrics, both as a massage therapist and as an RN. Her current role has her working in chronic disease management and prevention as a Primary Care provider within a single physician’s office. She also spends time as a freelance writer, covering many alternative and conventional health topics for numerous websites and publications.
Aurora has lived throughout Europe and Canada, but now resides in Alberta, Canada with her husband and her 11 year old son. She shares her home with 2 cats and 2 large dogs, and provides care and support for her aged grandmother in the community. She volunteers extensively at the local gymnastics club where she sits on the board, and her son trains and competes. Aurora has also started judging women’s artistic gymnastics as a sideline, and intends to start judging men’s in the near future.
